The basics
By using Orimentis, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. It's that simple.
What the service is
Orimentis is a free AI tutoring tool that helps students think through STEM topics using the Socratic method. It supports exam preparation (GCSE, A-level, BAC) and general STEM exploration.
What the service is not
- Not a replacement for your teacher, textbook, or tutor. It's a study companion. Always cross-reference with your course materials.
- Not guaranteed to be accurate. The tutor uses AI, which can make mistakes. If something doesn't sound right, check it.
- Not a guarantee of exam results. We help you think. We don't promise grades.
Your account
- You can use the service without an account (one anonymous curious conversation)
- To save progress and have more conversations, create an account with your email
- You're responsible for access to your email β that's how you log in
- One account per person
Acceptable use
Use the service for learning. Don't:
- Attempt to extract or bypass the tutor's safety instructions
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the service
- Share your account with others
- Use the service for anything illegal
We may suspend access if these terms are violated.
Your content
- Messages you send are stored to provide the service (continuing conversations, progress tracking)
- We may review conversations in aggregate to improve the tutor's quality
- We don't claim ownership of your messages
- See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling
Our content
- The tutor's responses are generated by AI and provided as-is
- We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the tutor's responses
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
Availability
- We aim for 99% uptime but don't guarantee it
- We may temporarily take the service offline for maintenance
- We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll note the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orimentis and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to: exam results, academic outcomes, or reliance on the tutor's responses.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
